Vision & Values

Lime Academy Forest Approach is a values led school. Our values encourage all stakeholders to display the behaviours expected of a member of our school community.

We expect everyone to display our values of:

  • Rights
  • Equity
  • Self-worth
  • Partnership
  • Enjoyment
  • Communication (a voice for all)
  • Trust

We provide an exciting, safe and challenging learning environment that recognises and adapts to the needs of every individual. Pupils are well cared for, guided and supported to make the best progress in all areas including personal development and well being. We encourage our pupils to be positive contributors to the school, their families, their neighbourhood and the wider community.

British Values Statement

The Department for Education states that there is a need:

“To create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs”

British Values

Staff at Lime Academy Forest Approach promote ‘British Values’ through our Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural education, which permeates through the school’s curriculum. We recognise that this is most successful when values and attitudes are promoted by all the staff and provide a model of positive behaviour for our pupils. We have a Protective Behaviours ethos which underpins our everyday practice. Our curriculum in all phases offers broad and balanced opportunities.

We aim to deliver SMSC opportunities through a personalised and purposeful approach to ensure that pupils have an appropriate and meaningful learning experience. Through these curriculum aspects, pupils will;

  • participate in wider community and social settings
  • be positive members of our school and campus through community cohesion, mutual respect and tolerance
  • reduce their dependence and gain skills, knowledge and understanding of democracy and personal liberty
  • participate in cultural and sporting events.
